Project Kalam: 10th school Project completed
Anton Paar India supports education infrastructure in rural areas
Anton Paar India has completed the 10th project as part of its CSR program “Project Kalam.” Since its launch in 2015, the initiative has focused on enhancing educational infrastructure across the country. The schools are selected based on a strong local connection – often where Anton Paar India employees have studied – and are located in regions with limited educational infrastructure.
Continuous improvement of learning environments
Project Kalam focuses on upgrading schools and strengthening essential educational infrastructure. The aim is to create welcoming, safe, functional, and all-weather learning environments. This includes, for example, renovating classrooms and laboratories, improving sanitation facilities, providing IT equipment, and enhancing the overall quality of school infrastructure.
As part of the latest project, the Shri Gandhi Smarak Inter College in Chakathal, in the state of Uttar Pradesh in northern India, was modernized. The school is located in a rural area near the city of Aligarh. The measures support daily school operations and make everyday activities easier for students and teachers.
Commitment beyond individual projects
Project Kalam represents the broader social commitment of the Anton Paar Group.
Subsidiaries of the Anton Paar Group AG have the opportunity to invest up to 5% of their profits – up to a maximum of €50,000 – in social projects. A key requirement is the involvement of employees, for example through hands-on support on site.
With ten projects completed since 2015, Anton Paar India continues contributing to improved learning conditions in rural communities.
