Another anniversary of our B2B measurement technology subsidiary Anton Paar GmbH: In February, Anton Paar China celebrated its 20th anniversary in Shanghai. More than 300 guests gathered to mark this milestone together – including all APCN employees, General Managers of the Region APAC, representatives of the product lines, representatives of long-standing partner companies, and the Consul of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber.
 

Two decades of continuous development
In his opening speech, General Manager Dickson Wang looked back on 20 years of company history and growth. He highlighted key milestones and development phases and demonstrated how both the number of employees and revenue have steadily grown over the years.

The story began in June 2006 with the founding of Anton Paar (Shanghai) Trading Co. Ltd. At that time, a small team laid the foundation for what has developed dynamically into the largest Anton Paar subsidiary in the APAC region and the second largest worldwide.

 
Katharina Christopoulos, CSO of Anton Paar GmbH, referred to the early days in her speech: “Even at the time of its founding, Dickson and his team made a clear commitment: to stay close to customers, to provide the best solutions for the Chinese market, and to build a highly trained, specialized team. These principles have remained unchanged for over two decades – and that is what makes Anton Paar China so successful.” Addressing the around 280 employees directly, she added: “You are the heart of this success. Your dedication and passion are what make Anton Paar China what it is today.”

 
Longstanding commitment and outstanding performance
A particularly moving moment of the evening was the recognition of nine employees who have been with Anton Paar China since its founding 20 years ago. Their long-standing commitment stands as a symbol of continuity and stability.
Recent achievements were also recognized: Six employees who ranked among the Global Sales Top 10 in 2025 were honored. Awards for best Service performance and for the best Service employee in the APAC region further highlighted the high level of expertise and strong customer focus within the organization.

 
Between the official program points, employee performances – including musical and dance acts – created cheerful moments. The evening concluded with a ceremonial cake cutting, a raffle, and a joint dinner.

Modernization as a sign of continued growth
February 6 also marked another milestone: In the morning, the renovated and expanded Shanghai office was officially reopened.
The existing demonstration laboratory and office spaces were comprehensively modernized, and the total area was expanded from 1,866 m² to 2,530 m². “This investment reflects our long-term commitment to the strategically important Chinese market and lays the foundation for further development in the years to come,” said Dickson Wang.
With 20 years of successful development behind it, Anton Paar China stands on a strong foundation – and continues to look ahead.
