At first glance, measurement technology may sound like industry. But what works on a large scale is packaged into smart handheld devices at Anton Paar ConsumerTec: refractometers and density meters are used in breweries for the beer production process. Beyond that, the devices determine the ideal harvest time of grapes for winemakers, monitor the health of pets, or measure the extraction level of coffee for optimal flavor balance – to name just a few applications. The instruments are controlled via their respective apps, making them simple and quick to use.

Mobile Apps

Measurements are controlled via a mobile smartphone app. Results can be stored and retrieved or analyzed at a later time.

Cloud solution for cross-device use

Measurement data from the Meister apps is stored in the Meister Cloud and can therefore be used across devices. While the winemaker measures the sugar content of grapes in the vineyard, production in the wine cellar can already be prepared based on the results.

Youngest subsidiary of Anton Paar Group AG

With its founding in 2021, Anton Paar Group AG gained a new subsidiary with a start-up atmosphere. Since then, a dedicated team has been responsible for product development and marketing.

The products are sold worldwide through the company’s own webshop, on international marketplaces, and via resellers.

Origin in craft brewing

The journey of Anton Paar ConsumerTec GmbH began with a product developed specifically for small craft breweries. In this way, the company’s expertise in industrial brewing processes was made accessible to home brewers as well.

Analysis for beverage quality control
Beer, wine, or spirits: measurements for quality control before or during production support decision-making. For example, original wort can be measured, or the fermentation process monitored.

Pet health
Regular measurements can monitor the fluid balance of cats, dogs, or other small animals, allowing deviations to be detected at an early stage. This can indicate illnesses such as diabetes or kidney problems. In addition, the salt content of aquariums can be measured.

Honey, syrups, sauces, and jams
The sugar or water content provides important information not only for the taste but also for the storage of honey, syrups, sauces, or jams. This is why the measuring instruments are also used in the kitchen.

Coffee
Baristas use the product SmartRef, among other things, to determine the extraction level of coffee. This ensures consistent taste.

Sports & hydration
Fluid balance, both before and after training, is crucial for athletic performance. The SmartRef product also makes measurements for anti-doping control of athletes simple and efficient.

Industry
The products support determining the optimal mixing ratio of liquids such as lubricating oil or coolant and are therefore also suitable for industrial applications.
