What measurement technology is used for

Measurement technology is encountered more often than you might realize. Measuring instruments are used in the production or processing of many everyday items. For example, the flow behavior of toothpaste can be measured, or the sugar and carbon dioxide content in beverages determined. Extrusion measurements can be used to optimize dough processing in food production. Anton Paar GmbH’s instruments are also used in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries for quality control, and in smartphone production to test the scratch resistance of screens.

Precision in the hundredth of a millimeter range

In the company’s own glass production, glass measuring cells are manufactured with wall thicknesses of a few tenths of a millimeter and an accuracy in the hundredth of a millimeter range.
